Old Dog's Favorite Trickby atupdateComment: Man, this subject evokes such warm memories for me. Nice crop, color, and clarity. Fits the theme well enough. Unnecessary frame. Overall good job! |

Sea Horseby pawdrixComment: Nice graphic impact. I would never have guessed this was yours, Steve. Interesting to see your entry in the challenge idea you championed! Technically, I'm curious to know how big was the sea horse? The ones I've seen are generally about half an inch "tall." |

Aging (from the Sunset Series)by wheeleddComment: Not to take away from the landscapey winners, but this should have won a ribbon, or at very least an honorable mention. My choice for "best in show." It occurred to me in passing that this might be a self-portrait. Interesting to find it is so! Keeping my fingers crossed on your behalf for the juried prizes, but whatever happens, this is powerful and now I may add brave. Good luck, Dan. |

My impression as well; I assumed the "dream" is from sniffing glue. |

The Burial of the Deadby 4trtoneComment: Unusual, I like the tension in the arm and I really like the (honey?) dripping from the - uhm - weed. The frame/illusion is an okay touch but may be a bit too gimmicky. |
