Desperation by StructorComment: Excellent. Love the darkness this photo presents both in theme and tonality. Good composition, and very original. Hope it scores well. |

Lifeless Oakby Ian-AndrewComment: Nice shadows. Good choice for BW processing. Like the composition and the subject itself offers a lot of interesting shapes to move the eye around. Good work and good luck. |

Life on Marsby marboComment: Good to know there will be some trees to look at in Hell. Boring composition here and the IR thing has reached gimmick status for sure. If there's more to IR than just presenting radical colors, I would love to see it. I wish there were more merits to this photo to speak to. As it is it is one tree, dead center, nothing else of interest besides the colored sky. Hopefully you find the comment helpful. It's not meant to be harsh, but IR should not be the sole point of the photograph. It should enhance an already interesting shot. Good luck, I'm sure it will score well. |

On the Flip-Sideby ShermyComment: Hey, your horizon isn't straight. Heheheh. Nice colors, not sure if the angle adds anything to the shot. Might be more dramatic/appealing were the tree lined up on the corner to corner diagonal axis here. But, it certainly gets a nod for creativity. |

Untitledby zardozComment: Interesting shot. Think in this particular instance, fan though I am of BW photos, this would have worked better in color. Very nice overall. |

Bent But Not Broken by jrjrComment: Tuborg? Another nice piece of eye candy. The abuse of dodge and burn makes this look completely computer generated though, and for this shot I don't think it was the way to go. Of course it will score well, I have no doubt. I still wonder what exactly nature had offered to my eyes here before photoshop smashed it out of existence. |

Minitureby drz01Comment: Is this intentional overexposure, a mistake, or some other effect? Not sure, but it does not work well. |

Sunset treeby birkinComment: Framing would have been even niceer had the shot been taken from an angle that centered the tree between the posts. Nice exposure, nice colors. Composition is maybe a bit less than desirable. |

Where it once stoodby CheerzComment: Harsh lighting and a bad angle work against this shot. Might have been better shot from ground level and from a direction that kept those long grass blades out of the way. Good luck. |

Moutaintop Sentinel : Another Stormy Chapterby glad2badadComment: Nice perspective and great exposure. Think you might have been served well by walking away from a strict adherence to the rule of thirds amd pushing the tree over to the left edge so that it looks like it really is being threatened by the incoming storm/wall of clouds. Nontheless, a nice photo. Good luck. |
