No Words Can Explain...by TechoComment: Beatiful in its simplicity. A perfect example of black and white that presents a full range of tones in subtle harmony. This is probably one of the best photos I've seen on DPC. It's not too gimmicky, it's not grossly processed. I could stare at this for an hour and just let my eyes feast on the play of light and shadow. Excellent work and I hope this ribbons. 10. |

Into Winterby adineComment: Nicely composed, interesting subject. I like the grainy details in the leaf. Only 'complaint' here is the lack of some bright tones. Even the highlight in the water drop seems to be pretty mid-tone. Other than that, great entry and I hope it does well. Good luck. |

Her Auraby Joey LawrenceComment: Tonight on the WB, Veronica Mars!
Nice shot, pretty girl. Would like to see a bit more detail in her top. Nothing else to say really, you obviously no what you are doing. |

Winter bikeby korpenComment: Lot of very subtle shades in this shot, but I think it needs more work to get them to come out and enhance the image. As it is, it tends to just look rather gray with nothing exciting going on. A different composition might help as well. My eye keep sgetting pulled up to the spokes towards the top but there's really nothing there to keep it looking. Nice idea in its simplicity. Good luck. |

Light of the Worldby SheryllComment: I wonder if you get voted down simply for a religious subject? Hopefully not. I have no feelings about the subject matter, however this shot lacks impact overall. If anything it would have worked better without the sun (moon?) and puff of cloud marring the otherwise crisp lines of the cross. High contrast shots suit my taste, but I'm afraid there's just nothing going on here to keep my eyes interested. Good luck. |

Snowy Tracksby Sunshine86Comment: Nice scene that works well as a BW. Looks to me to be slightly underexposed. Something here, snow or clouds, should be much brighter white. Good luck. |

Soap bubbles.... (Inspired by Yanko)by IreneMComment: It's cool looking, which is probably why you copied the idea in the first place heheh. Could have at least flipped it vertically and presented it as some sort of alien footprint heheh. What's with the dots of color in the center and around the top edge of the bubble? |

Beachedby dx_powerComment: Interesting subject matter that probably could have made for a very eye-popping shot. Unfortunately, here it looks like the photographer just walked up, pointed the camera down, and snapped one off. I want to see this from the point of view of you lying on the ground, showing me the faces of these beasts, presenting them in a way that really gives impact to their situation. I have to say I think this was an opportunity missed. Good luck. |

Tears of an Angelby Baron152Comment: Looks like the focus is on the gunk covering the forehead here. Interesting looking statue. Might have tried to get the eyes looking very crisp to give the viewers eye something to hone in on. Possibly a little stronger contrast between tones would remedy the overall flatness of the image and particularly the statue itself. good luck. |

Facadeby justin_hewlettComment: Think this would work a bit better were that big shiny pipe perfectly aligned vertically. Nice textures in this shot. Not much of interest to keep your attention, but nice in an abstract, urban grit sort of way. That said, I'm thinking a higher contrast BW approach might have enhanced the textures on the bricks and given the shot more pop. Good luck. |
