Gray day by DjabordjaborComment: Wow, what a charged scene! That's a sculpture, I take it?
This is a great example of how a 2-D photo of a 3-D artwork can show the photographer's touch through framing, choice of lighting (even if it's a time of day to put the sun in the right spot), and choice of background (heavy, roiling clouds as opposed to a blue sky).
Well done! |

Chameleonby enashComment: EXCELLENT! Can't wait to hear how you did this. Is it a mask?
This is my favorite of the challenge, and is going in my favorites. |

Challengerby william88Comment: Must've been tough to choose this or the gold challenge.
I like this shot a lot. I have no problem with allowing color in this challenge as long as the subject's B&W. And you met that well here.
The cropping does a great job of showing what he's dangling over, emphasizing the tension in the photo.
This is going in my favorites. It doesn't hurt that I used to climb. :) |

Through the peepholeby paulwComment: This evokes strong emotions of abandonment or loneliness. Cropping it with the window so high also really brings to mind a cell or some similar room where the gloominess is emphasized by a high wall.
Great job! Going in my favorites. |
