Carrieby alanfreedComment: FanTASTic eyes! And solid composition. And an intriguing, bemused expression.
Looks like some noise reduction or compression artifacts in the skin texture, though - came out looking very blotchy. I don't mind pores at all, but the blotches are distracting. |

Evening Cruiseby KivetComment: Pretty shot! Careful about the tilted horizon, though, and it looks like there's some dust on your lens or sensor. |

Moondanceby bjackmanComment: This image has some potential, but it also has several areas of concern, at least for me:
- its size. This was a challenge where we got extra space, but you used less than normal. That reduces the impact substantially.
- the blown out highlights in the middle. I suspect it was difficult to expose well, given the contrast between the reflection and the rest of the shot, but sometimes that means trying a different angle.
- the flag cut off at the bottom. The shot might work better cropped just above the flag, but of course, that would make it even smaller. |

Colorful Beadsby PhillydigishooterComment: Well, you've got the technicals down - exposure and focus are good.
And they're pretty, but my eye just bounces around looking for something to latch onto.
One composition suggestion is to move the gap out of the center. And then maybe reshoot with something sticking through that gap? Even a nose by itself would add a lot of interest. |

Blazing Twilightby trnqltyComment: This is beautiful. It's interesting that 1 min. is enough to make the stars streak. My camera maxes out at 15 sec., so I haven't seen that effect before. |

Fruitsby rishinicolaiComment: Almost abstract ...
The extremely narrow DOF produces a blurred white thing in the front that's so large it distracts me. |

Reach for the Woodby lucienawComment: This seems to be identical to "King Kong's Next Fling" from the Scene-It challenge, which would mean a DQ for both.
But looking at it as a photo ... it doesn't really grab me. Maybe with higher contrast, it would. I think it also might benefit from not as tight a crop. Part of the interest seems to be the contrast in size between the two wooden figures, so I'd like to see more of the larger one. |
