Great job! I love this pic, the agedness of the boat. I just wish there was a little more definition to the water, it just seems to be lost. It could equally be floating on a cloud as it is sitting in water, and I'd like to see that a little more clarified. Maybe just overprocessed. The sky color is pretty though.

Great job! This is such a nice photo of an animal. He's really very comical looking. It appears that he is not real. The colors and quality of this photo are exceptional. However, a water shot, or even a shoreline shot, does not always mean 'beach' in my opinion. And meeting the challenge, to me, is the first and most important thing, if that isn't done, then anything else is unimportant. Doesn't mean it's not a beautiful and creative shot, because in this case, it absolutely is! I do love it! I went back and forth on how to score your pic, but I do vote low for those that I don't think meet the challenge, so to be consistant, I am voting this lower than I want for the reasons stated above.

Great job! The tonal qualities and overall color in this photo is very nice. What a nice way to spend the night, in this kind of beauty. However, a water shot, or even a shoreline shot, does not always mean 'beach' in my opinion. Doesn't mean it's not a beautiful and creative shot, because in this case, it absolutely is! I do love it! I went back and forth on how to score your pic, but I do vote low for those that I don't think meet the challenge, but because it's a nighttime shot, in silhoutte, it's hard to tell if there is a beach involved here or not, so I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. I'm raising my original score from a 4 to a 6.

Great job! Nice colors in the sand and in the sky. The water is beautiful in this shot, and the subject matter is different and interesting. However, it just seems a tad out of focus. It met the challenge well, without forcing me to figure out how you met the theme. I'm raising my original score from a 4 to a 5.

Great job! I love black and white shots, and I love kid shots, but this type of shot was not very interesting to me because it's been done several times - sometimes a man, sometimes a woman, sometimes a kid. Nice shot though, meeting the challenge perfectly.

Great job. What knocked this one for me was the tilted horizon, and a bit of graininess in the sky. The driftwood clarity was very good, as are the colors.

Great job! I loved the overall feeling of distance on this shot, with the storm drenched sky and water disappearing into the haze. I love the motion of the water exhibited in the white caps. I love the sun breaking through to shed some rays of light on the beach and the trees. Thank you for meeting the challenge without leaving me to figure out how it met the theme. Raising my original score from a 5 to a 7. Above average shot.

Great job! Interesting subject. Whimsical. Which to me, makes this so interesting. I feel like I've been deserted on an island, and found this there. Great job! This photo is full of movement, in the sky and in the waves. I like that. I'm not crazy about the skull, it's just creepy, but part of what makes this come across the way you want. A nicely done photo, although not extremely interesting.
