Digging Designby BeagleboyComment: Interesting 'creation' of the mechanical arch. The yellow of the machines goes great with the blue sky. Nice detail and sharpness. |

Up in Flamesby tyt2000Comment: Great use of foreground and background elements to 'create' an interesting image. This certainly does look like a tower on fire. If I were to be very picky I would suggest cropping off the bottom just past the plague so it gives it a more 'natural' look/feel and not just a building and a work of art. |

Applied Engineeringby DCThiessenComment: I think this image could have benefitted from a little more contrast. The long 'arm' of the crame blends in a little too well with the clouds and so doesnt stand out as well as it probably should. The perspective of both the building and the crane looks to be tilted and a slight rotation in an editing program could have helped that some too. |

archetypalby xburnerxComment: First thing I spotted was the line on the left, and after trying to work out what the black line was connected to in the image I realised it was a border. In other words I think with a detail-orientated image that it distracts a little by becoming part of the image rather than highlighting it. The image itself is good, I like the sepia toning, and the texture of the stones/rocks are good, esp with the dappled light. I'm not sure if you used a wide-angle or telephoto lens or whether the track is like that, but the perspective seems almost buckled in places. |

Gateway Arch - St. Louisby jab119Comment: This is certainly a new angle for me. I've driven past this structure a few times and know it's magnificence and I think you were able to capture it well. The composition is good, good use of negative space, and also forcing the eye through the image. I like the color of the metal and its reflections also. |

Renovation of a 19th century stone barn.by jjbeguinComment: The crop is interesting, and probably wasnt an easy task finding the right angle to use. I like the color scheme, which is the first thing that I noticed. The black and white is quite stark, and yet there is the polished wood that warms it up a little and the streak of color with the daylight streaming in. Very geometrical with the shapes leading the eye around the image nicely, stopping briefly to take in the added detail such as the reflection in the water and the texture of the wood. Great shot! |

1870's Architectureby ChrisW123Comment: The crop is interesting and not the usual symetrical image. The detail is great, nicely sharp, contrast is great, and the color of the sky in the corners is really nice. Shows off the wonderful architecture well. |

Structural Integrity In Building Designby GolferDDSComment: Very chaotic! Very abstract, interesting pattern, I like the light shafts on the structure that adds to the chaos, and the coloring of the pipes(?) go well with the blue sky in the background. |

A Design Classicby andywightmanComment: Interesting camera, good textures, nice detail, quite sharp. It's fine as it is, but you could have also tried either bouncing light on the right or adding another light there to lighten the edge of the camera and try and get rid of the long shadow going off frame. |

Crane Reflectionsby dsidwellComment: I like what appears to be windows, both in the coloring and the shapes. The crane reflection makes it different, but I probably would have been content with just the windows. Not sure what happened at the bottom, whether it's the top of trees, some kind of cloning or what, but unfortunately it distracts from the rest of the image. |
