The Inner Roseby crisComment: I like the softness of the yellow, although think it may be a tad underexposed. I like how it fills the frame, and there is some texture on the left side, but would have perhaps liked to have seen a little more texture on the other petals. |

Welcome to Timbavatiby soccerdadComment: The leopard is neat although the blades of grass in front of his eye and over his nose are a little distracting. A fair amount of detail on the fur, bright eyes, and good color. I'm not sure what you did to the background or whether it was part of the saturation/color balance or what, but it looks very unusual and pixelated almost. |

Maremagnum at nightby AlexysComment: A classic night-time shot. Wonderful light, interesting lines and curves, the star-looking effects of the lights, and of course the reflections. Nicely captured. |

Its all there In B&Wby maurice1Comment: I like the silhouettes set against the bright reflected sun but find it a little too crowded with some of the people cropped out of the frame. Personally I think it would be a much stronger image and composition had you just had one or two silhouettes. It does make the viewer wonder what they are doing, though. |

Black Crowned Night Herons with breeding plumageby rmahanComment: Hrm, taken through reeds? The slight orange/yellow mostly on the lower right are a little distracting. The blue of the water is good, and I love the reflections. I dont know whether these are two different sized birds or just the perspective difference thing, but they appear different enough to be interesting, and helps the composition. They seem a little soft as if this is a crop from a much larger image, but there is fairly good texture in the feathers. Good shot! |

Abandoned Grain Elevator ...up closeby lwkimagesComment: The tones are good, certainly conjures up thoughts of rusted metal. There isnt anything here that really catches my eye - no one particular thing that grabs my attention. There are several areas that look like they could be interesting but I feel like I want to get closer and really see those rather than view the whole which isnt as interesting as the details are so small. |

The Painted Desertby woodenshoe50Comment: Wonderful colors and very nice scenery. From the angle it was taken it looks like little bumps in the ground and I think the magnificience that is undoubtly there just doesnt seem to come across as much in this particular image. For similar reasons I think it seems to be lacking a main focus point, esp since it looks like it was taken during harsh light and there is very little texture or light play to control the eye. Still, it's a nice image. |

Sunbathby TiberiusComment: Nice blend of lines and curves and the play of light and shadow. The black and white seems to be lacking a little in contrast and the bamboo seems a little soft too, but the idea is wonderful. |

Daisy covered with morning dewby ladpupmoeComment: I love the light, it seems very warm. The exposure is great with no blown highlights and a good vibrant yellow. The composition is good and I think the slight green of the leaves in the background adds interest instead of a plain dark background. The water droplets look a little sprayed on but are still pretty! A very nice summery shot. |

After the rainby BlueDragonComment: Very pretty and delicate. I like the pinkish orangish red. I think the muted color compliments the soft focus and delicacy of the image instead of an in-your-face vibrant red. The water droplets of course add interest. A classic rose image. |
