Chasing Breadby flip89Comment: Seagulls can be very tough to shoot. You've captured the action of the moment very well and show the erratic, desperation that usually comes when these birds are looking for food. You've established their environment with the beach and the rocks. The exposure looks a little off as they're normally very bright white birds and here they look a little grey, but being slightly underexposed is better than being overexposed. In an ideal world, unless you were going for artistic impression, both birds being in focus and sharp would have better, but I still believe you have captured the mood of the moment. |

Tamia striatus (chipmunk)by spaque99Comment: I like the lighting. You've got a few hotspots in the background but it's not too contrasty, and it's nice and even on the chipmunk. The natural environment is well established with the amount of background you have. The composition is good with the tree, tail, body, and other tree leading the eye nicely around the image. You've got good coloring on the chipmunk and there is good texure on the fur. The catchlight in the eye is good too. Cute little guy! |

Leoby C-FoxComment: What a face! This guy shows a lot of character, which is the one thing that makes images like this stand out. The composition is excellent and makes great use of the golden light. The side lighting put some of the majesty back into his straggly-looking face. Exposure looks good, it's sharp where appropriate, nice clear eyes, and has good texture in his fur. Excellent shot! |

I'm Listeningby whatdewucComment: I'm curious as to why you've used a filter on this image. From what I can tell it looks like a good shot. The color is good and strong, the position of the deer is good, and the background looks like a good natural environment. By using the filter you have basically made the photograph look like a painting, which can certainly be interesting and a neat effect but personally it doesnt do much for me in this particular challenge, sorry. |

...and they're offby fstopopenComment: Having spent the past week or so watching pig racing at the local state fair I have to say this is a very apt shot! Great angle on it, really makes the viewer feel like they are there, or even better, in the race. The stop action is good too with the kick up of the hay. If I had any gripe it's that it seems just a tad dark. Fun shot! |

Watery Reflectionby lwkimagesComment: Good idea and quite a fancy mirror. The background foliage seems in to be focus and the rocks at the bottom are out of focus. Because of the candle/vase my eyes are going down there and the OOF is a little distracting. Changing the focus point or else using a smaller aperature to get the entire scene in focus may have helped some. |
