A difficult capture to get. The tree in the background looks like it's growing out of his head although unless you have trained him/her to lick like that I cant see how you're going to have much choice on the background for a shot like this. Lighting looks ok, a catchlight in the eye, some movement on the tongue but that adds to the whole scenario.

Good lighting, depth of field, and fine detail. The exaggerated elongated whatever you want to call it face is interesting and kinda scary.

Self Portait in the Garden??

The overexposed sky is quite distracting as the eyes tends to go to the brightest part of the image first. The other window/door on the left also makes the background a little busy. Just keeping it with the garden would have been better and less busy/distracting.

It's cute, kinda funny. The grass is a little distracting as the eye and beak seems to be the focal point. A fair bit of noise in the image also.

The idea is good/funny/clever - I think it was in the first humor challenge too. However, the background completely ruins it. I dont know if you were trying to go for tye-dye funky psychedelic or just messed up the saturation.

The tones are great and I love the soft glow. Having the diagonal branch coming into the shot adds interest and leads the eye nicely. Wonderful image, very peaceful.

I love the mood in this shot formed by the fog, color, and softness. It's almost like a scene from Jack the Ripper. All the elements come together to make a nice timeless image.

The image looks very washed out. The side of the face looks overexposed, it has fairly low contrast, and could really do with a levels/curves/contrast adjustment.

A classic image. Good combination of diagonal lines, light, shadow, and form.

The black and white checkerboard is indeed a classic and I think this shot has potential. I like the marble, it's certainly different from the glass and wooden chess pieces that are fairly popular. The reflections in both the checks and the pieces are interesting. I find the section of door a little distracting and think a plain white background may have helped more. I also dont see where the focus is in the image as they all look a little out of focus, or else the image is just generally fairly soft.
