City of Blinding Lightsby vladoComment: Good conversion to Black & White, and nice starry lights and smooth water. Bonus for including a semi-interesting foreground, but the abrupt edge on the bottom left is distracting. A minor crop or a minor change in composition would easily solve it though. |

South gate by markheath10Comment: The top half would've made an impressive pic by itself I think. The bottom half is too blank for me, and it's not tone-matching the rest of the pic either. Good luck. |

Times Square Scapeby tvsometimeComment: Love the cross-roads forming an X in the pic. A busy city that doesn't sleep - portrayed very well in this pic.
I understand that Times Square is very bright with all those screens..
I also understand that it must've been dark already because the vehicles have lights turned on.
However, it's not dark enough, and the people aren't blurry from an extended exposure. It just doesn't "feel" like a nightscape well after the sun goes down - I wonder if that's hurting your score. Good luck. |

The Marina Comes Aliveby ecmguyComment: Very cool perspective. The blue building towards the center is dominating the picture entirely. Cool as it is, I think the picture might do even better as a high contrast Black and White with a little bit of the far left chopped off for balance. |

aint no sunshineby daisydavidComment: If it were a crop of just those top squiggles (maybe some of them of different color from orange - maybe red/green from the traffic stops), it would've worked as an abstract. But the combination of those squiggles with the lines in the bottom half, doesn't quite work for me. Also, it's a bit too bright and burnt out in the lights that's distracting. As such, it looks like a random pic taken without a tripod or proper exposure, rather than as an abstract taken with a vision. Maybe it's just me. Good luck. |

Trailing Lightby IAmEliKatzComment: Nice to see something different from a night skyline. Could've used more interest in the subject though - maybe an S-curve in the road or some such added interest. While this is a good pic, it's not outstanding enough I think. Good luck. |

Olympic Stadium, Munichby bjoernComment: Would've liked to see more detail in the foreground somehow. Other than the subject, it's hard for me to make out that it's a stadium (the floodlights ofcourse help :). Good luck. |

The Stairsteps of Industryby navilorComment: Nice cool lighting on the stairs. Thankfully, this isn't yet another skyline of Seattle in the challenge :) Just enough interest in the background to be intriguing. |

Distorted Downtown...by sekarmalathyComment: Very cool variation on the skyline concept. Looks like you stopped down quite a bit - the starry effect from the lights is quite nice.
Wondering if there's any way you could've used a normal lens instead of ultra-wide to capture the scene from a distance - just because the leaning building in the background feels like a mild distraction, the bean is distorting perspective enough already. |
