Good landscape idea. Composition is decent. The sky and treeline is a little to bright. Like most images in this chalenge it has a lot of fine detail and the focus is soft.

Color, composition, focus and overall image quality are far better tha most images in this challenge. Horizon is not level which is a distraction to this high quality photograph.

Good idea, good composition. Contrast is low and colors seem weak.

Into the Void

Interesting twist on a lanscape for this challenge. Use of grain to emphasize the desolation of the scene is a good idea that works well. There is a bend toward smooth neat imaged landscapes to do well so expect some voters to give this a lowere score. They will view the grain as coverup for a poor quality image. The light haloing around the big tree at left of center is a big of a distraction in this fine concept.

Exceptional seascape. Your highlighting works very well and the slower shutterspeed (or noise reduction) used for soft focus on the ocean surface is nice.

Nice idea and a decent composition with good clouds in the sky. Colors seem on the dull side and the clouds are overexposed. Focus is soft for an image with so much fine detail. These type images, as you wil see with others in this challenge, are exceptionally difficult to get good sharpness.

Good attempt at a Fall landscape scene. Composition is decent. The colors are a little weak and the focus is a little soft for my taste.

One of my personal top three picks of the challenge. Focus, lighting and midtones are astounding in this image. A tad more contrast would attain technical perfection.
