Cape-White-eye.jpgby kellymkComment: Damn there are some good bird photographers here.
Maybe not 'uberexciting' but a perfect reference shot - great stuff |

Week 1by jdannelsComment: Applause for the (subtle) HDR. This is a bit surreal but nowhere near mistakable for cgi.
Good to see ya, Joe - will follow. |

Saranghabnida IIby jhess77Comment: Yep, that's a beautiful wife. Good portrait that has her as a woman and not a piece of plastic fluff :) Reaches out and grabs. |

PaW 2010 Week 1.jpgby TerComment: If I wanted to be critical (for the sake of it) I could say this comes out a wee bit flat and just a little over-compensated for shadow in the HDR. Thing is, though, it gets away with it and hovers neatly on the edge between the real and the unreal.
OK, so I'm an HDR cynic, but this is good and I'll be fascinated to see more... |

Abstractions #001by rooumComment: The solid vertical line is a good trick to add depth and form to a chaotic abstract. It's seldom useful to have it in the middle, though, as it only cuts the picture in half. Mind you, this one merges in well, so it isn't disastrous or anything. Keep this up for a long time and there'll be all sorts of catharsis and all sorts of learning, too, I'll wager :) |
