Direction Southby pjotre7Comment: You have a decent landscape shot and great capture of the birds. The body part actually distracts from the whole photo. It almost loooks like the hand was in there on accident. |

H70 Cby NikonJebComment: You are probably getting killed for this, but in my eyes, the challenge was to use parts of the HUMAN body. While this is a replication of human, it's not a human. I think your lighting is great, the metal disc on the arm with the writing takes away from the photo. |

Schoolkidby gsalComment: I think you captured a great shot here. The crop is just great. I love the colors added by the knit cap. I'd like to have see you focus on her youth. Under her eyes there seems to be bags as if she were crying....you can clone those out and give it more a youthful look. I would have also liked to see the small scar under her nose cloned out. Here eyes look great. They really engage the viewer. I think a pass of the dodge tool over the iris' would have bought them out more. The DOF of the shot really adds to it. Overall a great shot.
Now if you are trying to showcase the look of a schoolgirl from a certain country....ignore everything I just said. lol. Message edited by author 2010-01-31 15:57:29. |

Cafe Conversationsby njsabsComment: Great use of window light. I think you captured a great photo here. Overblowin' the window was a great idea to keep all focus indoors. Under the table there are a couple of small "dots" that look like they are part of the leg. But because of the darkness of the photo it looks like they are just floating in the air. I would consider cloning them out. But that is all that I can see wrong with the photo. |

Memories of Freidaby njsabsComment: I love the lighting and DOF. I think your vignette around the edges worked great for the photo. Black and white was perfect for the shot. If I were to nitpick I would say to reduce the number of moles on her face to really give her youth (although keeping them says this is what she looks like). |

Jurodaby JudiComment: Jennifer is that you who took this photo???
By the way, this is probably my favorite shot in the challenge. obviously a great portrait with a fashion twist. Love the vibrant colors. The eyes and make up are just perfect. This one stands out. It is better than the similar one in the challenge, based off pose and lighting. |

"Just A Boy"by kashiComment: I like the concept. I think your lights are a little too hot. Probably could switch the White Balance to Tungsten and fix that. A little dark on the right eye. Actually like his facial expression. |

Ocian 7by LVicariComment: Leo...you are part of the reason i'm upgrading to a 50D next month. These shots are just great. I won't have your lighting set up (at least not yet) but I'm hoping to produce shots this great soon. I just lvove the color tones, smooth skin, and make up. Great series. |

Snowbunnyby JutildaComment: This is a great capture...Love the little halo. Great profile shot. If I had to nitpick I'd say I'd liek the front eye to be more in focus. |
