I concider myself an intelligent person but I gotta say.... I don't "get" this at all. Nicely shot but just seems like random objects thrown together to me. I'm so very sorry if there's a witty story being portrayed here that is going right over my head. I have a feelign it may being going over other peoples heads too though.

Nicely done. Well captured and edited. It would be cool if they formed another image. like a face or something. but otherwise. very nice shot.

Very cool. Your BG seems uneven and oddly textured/noisy. not sure which one. But I love the subject, the bg color and even the lighting. Nice!

Looks like a nice place to shoot. Seems like an odd angle. maybe straight on/slightly tilted up from the bottom of these rocks would have looked better. Clarity and everything is really nice. Just lacks a wow factor for me. Just my opnion.

I dig the artsy feel to this. That can be hard to do with a drill bit. I haven't seen many classy looking drill bits in my day. But you've managed it here. I like the placement, BG and borders. Seems a bit over sharpened to me. That may have been intentional judging by your title. It does help the gritty feel. and also there seems to be a lot of noise in your shadows. that's my only nit pick. Good Luck in the challenge.

Nice subject and well..lighting and editing as well. My only nitpick here is that I think it's too close for my tastes, had you zoomed out a bit and gotten more of the rollercoasters twists and turns it would work better for me.

Love this. Really, really, love this. I'm trying to critique these images but I can't find much fault with this one. I dig it, and I hope you are doing very well in this challenge. Good Luck!

I like the idea of this. I think to go along with the OLD swimming hole theme that an old rope would have worked tons better than what seems to be a much more modern rope. A kid or two in the water (splashing, maybe flaoting ona swim ring) would have helped as well(no idea if this is even a really safe palce to swim though). But the idea is very creative.

I love the lines in this, almost like an hourglass, or a curvacious womens waist. It's sort of sensual. Would be cooler with a full (not broken) shell. I realize this was probably a spontaneous capture and not set up by you so that was out of your control, but had you placed a nice shell down and waited for the wave that would have been a nice touch. also the brightness of the upper right hand corner is distracting when I'd really like to study the wonerful texture in the sand my eye is pulled away to that spot.

Very interesting object. I like the placement of it in your frame but what is hurting it is the fact that it's plastic. Not really your fault or even something you can easily change but plastic just makes things look cheap and can tend to take away from the artsy feel and immiediately scream snapshot. I feel this would look lightyears better if it were metal even if everything else were to stay the same, shape, placement, bg, border. All of it. Just my opinon though.
