Solarby jgm5015Comment: Interesting shot. It looks difficult to set up. I would have perferred to see the top of the 9 ball. The balls on the far right sort of fade out to me because they are so dark, but I assume that's intentional. |

Othersideby sephick911Comment: I like the use of darkness as well as light. I also like the way you captured the texture on the "door". Good expression as well. |

Hi thereby tazzaComment: I like the use of a wide lens. I also like the compositon including the triangle of ceiling in the top right. Exposure on the hand may be a little bright. |

Nikor Mud Cutby KronusComment: Nice shot. It looks like it belongs there. Nice touch with the dirt. You may get some criticism for the grass in the foreground but IMO it is a good choice. In reviewing, I'm bumping my rating up. |

Let The Nikonites Decideby SherwinJamesComment: Clever shot. I really like the lighting. It looks like it is coming from multiple directions, including behind the lenscap. DOF is just a little narrow IMO. |

Eclipses All Others. Canon.by AllanLComment: Clever idea. I believe the lens cap is at the end of tube. Unfortunately, the tube is a little off round, I also wish I could see all of the lens cap (incluuding the tabs). There is quite a bit of noise in the "sky". maybe from hiigh ISO or post-processing. |

your comment is appreciated!by crayonComment: And you shall get it!
I'm generally not a fan of the toy pictures, maybe because I felt pretty beat up in the Children's Toy Challenge. ;-)
Franky, I've had a hard time rating this. The scale works well between the the toy and the lens cap. I also like the contrast between the smooth plastic and the rough brick. I like how the DOF is up front and the focus fades as you move back. Lighting is okay; not dramatic but good for picking up the textures. Composition is pretty good too. So, technically it is a solid photo. Subject is still a struggle for me. |

Comfortby thomaspeopleComment: Nice job. I had a similar idea but couldn't figure out how to do it.
It is by far the best of the pocket shots. While I like color, I think BW was a good choice here. Nice highlight lighting caught by the cap. I would have liked to hear these model directions, "Okay, move your butt a little to the right. Too far!" |
