Lunch timeby flickerslairComment: the quality is really good.. perhaps not quite as well composed picture.. maybe less of the building would be better.. and I just noticed the bee.. so maybe geting in closer and isolating more of that particular flower would have helped.. |

Phalaenopsis Ceramiqueby GreetmirComment: honestly speaking, I like flowers more in their natural environment.. I like seeing more of a perspective to their surroundings.. the composition is perhaps too simple.. maybe placing them in water would create more interest.. |

New Stuff :)by TCGuruComment: The light is perfect here and so is the upper half.. but it's the legs I have an issue with.. they go down and get lost somewhere and then get cropped off very awkwardly.. and I think your eyes get slightly lost in the shadows.. but these are just issues with this particular picture.. other then that I think you're up with a great set up and a lovely model :D |

roadtriput3.jpgby cynthiannComment: I've been having a look at the tilt and I'm not sure whether it's natural or not... I think the road is one doing the sloping.. like the tones because they give a certain cruch to the picture[don't know how to phrase that better].. I can almost imagine the weather and atmosphere at the location.. I'm almost wishing the picture was sligthly better framed.. maybe if the road was more visible, leading away.. or in the potrait orientation.. but that can't be helped now.. great treasure to have from the trip..

Spilled Iceby bennettjamieComment: Simpler shots need to be absolutely perfect to get any merit with the dpc crowd.. The composition seems kind of tight.. so more negative space would be good.. and light definitely too dull.. if you don't have any great light sources take things outside.. I can see the dof is actually shallow and not out of focus as it may seem the first time around but the light doesn't allow us to view it in full glory.. and I don't like the background colour.. takes away prominence away from the subject.. |

Me -Re-Editby bennettjamieComment: I think the self potraits you've got in your portfolio are fine as they are.. The lighting, focus, composition is really quite good.. but the edit takes away from the naturalness of the pictures.. Trying to do more glamourous edits, with the blurring, won't work for what is an ourdoor, less contrived shot. Blurring is better for head shots, and more fashion stuff.. and the vignetting isn't as subtle as I'd like.. the black seems more obvious.. so a lighter touch would be better.. |
