~Just me~by Dirt_DiverComment: It's not a bad photo at all, in general terms, however for THIS challenge I'm not too surprised by the score.
I think the main problem is that nothing is gained by flipping it. It doesn't give the impression, for example, of defying gravity, it doesn't really add any unique perspective. It's just... flipped... simply for the purpose of flipping. :) |

Looking from the Inside Outby mchalmersComment: This would be a perfect setup with advanced rules. It's sooo cute!
Something was bothering me about the cat's feet and I finally figured out that it was because they cast no shadows, making the gravel really neon-y. In advanced you could touch that up in a moment. Would LOVE to see a re-edit now that rule restraints are off... please? :) |

Flying through the sky.by vinny123Comment: I LIKE this. A lot! I like the facelessness, I like the lack of point of reference (such as the ground), I like the blur and lighting. Very surreal. It's what my dreams look like.
Personally, I MIGHT have cropped just a touch of tree so the dark wasn't quite so heavy, because it tends to draw my eye a bit, but that's the only change I'd make. |

untitled.by cassilda_terryComment: I agree with crabappl, and this is why;
The shot has great flow. One's eye naturally starts at the larger dark shape, then is carried by the sun's rays into the sky and to the balloons. But then it's pulled back to see what that other dark shape at the bottom is, interrupting that lovely flow.
It's a great shot that can be just that little bit better :) |

Hurricane Katrina Victimsby jblaylockraynerComment: I find shots like this with animals so much more poignant. The people at least understand what's happening but the animals don't, and rely completely on us to protect them. |

Doggy Day Wearby jblaylockraynerComment: I dunno, this looks a little ostentatious for daywear. How could she outdo this for those special, glamourous evenings? |
