Barbed Wireby heidaComment: I absolutely love the monochrome feel to this, and the way the background really enhances the sharpenss of those barbs. Excellent shot. I'm inspired to try something like it, myself. Perfectly fitting the challenge as well. 9 |

A conflict is about to start...by cjavierComment: Good take on the challenge and very nicely composed. My eye is wishing it were perhaps just a tiny touch sharper, but overall one of the better shots of the challenge. 8 |

50 years ago... defiance bred a Leader by RoosterComment: One of my top four from this challenge. Easily the most powerful, realistic depiction of classic conflict out of all 200+ photos. Well composed, very dramatic and full of feeling. Photographically, I wish the whole image was perhaps exposed another 1/3 of a stop to bring out more detial in the boy's face, but that's very minor in this powerful image. Well done! |

You Can't Roller Skate In A Buffalo Herdby GordonComment: One of the best shots of the challenge! Shows genuine conflict, and I love the sharpness contrasted with the genuine motion blur. Great saturated colors, composition and perfect timing, also. 10 |

Drowning Madnessby unknowndeathComment: I'm very interested in seeing the technical details for this when the challenge is over. It's a great shot - the high contrast and use of defocus on the subjects really adds drama. Not sure how it will actually do here at dpc, being a bit outside of the box, but it's an easy 9 from me. |

Thumb Holeby TommyMoe21Comment: Wow - creative abstract with interesting composition. I love that you haven't lost any detail in the reds - so often you see reds that are so saturated that they have no form, shadow or texture to them, but this has a nice fluid feel throughout. I love it! 8 |

Echo (of a ceiling fan chain fob)by davidbedardComment: I'm really confused about the three lines at the left of the image, and the background grays are kind of chunky and pixellated. I'm sorry, but this image completely loses me. |

Growth Opportunity by EddyGComment: This is one of those shots that leaves me smacking myself on the forehead and doing a Homer Simpson "Doh!"... Why didn't I think of that???? Great work. Any time I have that reaction to an image, it definitely deserves a 10. |

Chillin'by finnurComment: The contrast between the red and blue on the desaturated background make for a very nice composition. I find myself wanting there to be more of a reason for it, however, something that ties the two together. It leaves me wondering. This would have been an excellent entry for the "unanswered questions" challenge a while back! |

Bored At Work...by browntComment: Love the use of the slow shutter speed to capture the main subject still and the others around her moving, going on with their tasks. Creative camera work. |
