Happy 27th!by snafflesComment: Contrast, levels, or curves adjustment would have really made this stand out. I do love the composition and the beautifully delicate colors. |

I'm your present big boyby lentilComment: Oh wow! Only the 23rd image I've seen but I've seen plenty females already. This is tastefully done.. very classy. Lighting is harsh and the rings sort of make me think of a married woman. I do like the pose and the nicely done makeup. I am so pleased that someone did this concept in a tasteful way. |

Paradise Lostby timfythetooComment: I love the composition and think it's so cool you're working to do more of the framing in-camera. |

The Day Afterby cdpalmaComment: Okay, wow. This is the 99th image I've seen and I have to say it is very refreshing. So many shots without people anywhere near. And I do love out of the box interpretations, but there are things that just don't meet the challenge at all. "Person using their cell phone" is really only going to be portrayed if a person is somehow visually represented in the shot. But this is a lovely way to go out of the box while still meeting the challenge. "Using" doesn't have to mean talking, and you did a great job, with the construction of the "axe" and the raised-fist composition, in telling us what the cell phone is used for. And to top it off, you didn't spoil it with an overbearing title.
To sum up: congratulations on an image that is a delightful departure from the vast majority of the other entries. Although I hope that I am wrong, I can almost promise you that this entry will not get the score that it deserves. And if I am right, then I hope that you can be content with knowing that you were intelligently creative. |

1 missed callby rinacComment: Very beautiful. The only thing that maybe is not absolutely perfect is that the light right near the figure is too whitish. I like the high contrast but I really do love the pretty blues and yellows of theo ther parts of the sky. However that isn't enough for me to detract any points. |

Excessively Grainy Filmby talmyComment: I love the composition and the tones a great deal, as well as your choice of black and white. I think the grain (noise) in the image is nice but doesn't really add very much to the image's impact, which is what a lot of voters were looking for in this challenge. |
