Could you have shot this with a black background? I would have made the orange 'pop' more. As it is, with the shallow DOF making much of the image OOF and white background it looks a little washed out.

Focus needs to be sharper on at least some part of the petal and the central placement and extensive negative space doesn't make for a particularly interesting image IMO.

Bit of stretch to suggest that the dominant subject is 'orange'. Any why not straighten it?
