The background is a nice colour and the tone is great. My only suggestion would have been to have the model more central and compose the photo around a frace profile and the body frontal dancing with (important) the iPod cable clearly visible (which it is not in this photo). The top of this photo is not contributing enough to the image.

A good idea. Entertaining. But I think it could have been done better by using card cut-outs of, say, cactus in the foreground. With some depth in the photo, by using cut-out layers, you could draw the viewer into the drama and picture.

King of the Mountain

Nice sky indeed. The rock colour is lovely. I think there is just a little bit too much rock and perhaps too much of the lower shadow as well.

This has a lot of potential. What comes to mind is shadow plays, a la those things they have in Bali. I think this would have been better if there was a story - perhaps meaning two people interacting in some way - making the shadow. The light at the top is a bit distracting too.

I think the work you did in making this image is not quite reflected (no pun intended) in the result. The result does not quite pop as much as, say, a simple black and white detailed shadow. I think it is the white background that is taking away something from the impact. Perhaps somehow framed in black it might have leaped out at me more.

Would have been tempted to clone out the left lower pole and gull and the upper right gull. But then again, I like the gulls too. The image is very crisp and clean.

I like the simplified 2-dimensionality this has and the irridescence. The negative spaces, both shadows and blown highlights, make this image.
