Blue Waterby risu81Comment: Great abstract. I love the lighting, color and even the almost industrial-looking backdrop. Well done. |

Stripesby JackoComment: Might be strengthened by a little more contrast in post processing. I think a more interesting approach might have been to clearly skew the stripes to a point in the composition (maybe just rotating the shot to aim more at the corners if you know what I mean). This would just be a different presentation, but it could potentially make this more memorable. |

Last One In's a Rotten Eggby TuckersmomComment: The harsh lighting, combined with egg's appearance of being out of focus detract from this. Also, the only clear "motion" is the small bit of yolk dripping at the top - it doesn't really sell this as a stopped motion shot. |

Harness the Windby dartompkinsComment: I like the backlighting created by the kite, it offsets the silhouette of the surfer well. Very nice shot. |

Sweet Drops of Sinby troyloxComment: You caught the alcohol pour well, but the rest of the shot suffers. The shutter speed might not have been fast enough - there is still blur no the woman's body (particularly noticeable in the higher contrast areas). The lighting is a little harsh as well. This and the overall warm color balance might have been helped by desaturating all but the bottle. |

Overby hallswelComment: A good subject. I think this shot could be improved by rotating the image about 1-2 degrees CW and cropping so that the pipes frame the shot side to side and top to bottom |

"Don't Cry Over Spilled Milk"by LokiComment: Nice capture. I think a monotone background would give this more of a studio feel. Could be a good candidate for white-on-white imho. |

Airbus Stop!by SteveJComment: If the plane is taking off or landing, I would have tried to get it a little closer to the ground. Some kind of ground reference (i.e. framing the plane with a nearby tree branch or the like), would help establish depth and give a little more color to the shot. The sky is fairly drab while the plane doesn't show a lot of contrast. Perhaps if the plane filled the frame from wing tip to wing tip (if your camera's resolution would allow for that) would make this more appealing. |
