Beautiful image... without the military hat to the side I don't think it would have been as efficient at telling the story... I just wish perhaps a tighter crop, and it would have been nice to have his fingers and head all in. 8

Great story here... I feel like technically the photo could have been done a bit better. The slight tilt of the horizon especially bothers me... I also wish the girl had been closer so you could have seen her better... as my eyes go right to the sign, and she's an afterthought.

I find it difficult to get the story without the title... perhaps there might have been another pose besides just a person standing in front of a portrait to make it more intriguing?

I'm looking at images to see if I can see a story or not within the image before checking out the title... for this one... I think the title tells more of a story, as I honestly wouldn't have realized that was a gator on my own. Nice image... but I think for it to tell a story the gator would have had to be featured more prominently.
