portrait of uncertaintyby bspurgeonComment: It's a man facing backward on the right hand corner?
Intriguing..
The title reminds me a lot of some of De Moraes' song titles
Mainly of 'Portrait of absence', or simply 'Absence'
"I will let die in me the wish of loving your eyes,
which are sweet.
Because nothing I could give you, but for the pain of seeing me
perpetually exhausted..
and you complain about the sea, the wind,
the sky, the birds,
the stars..
they'll be your present voice,
your absent voice,
your voice, relieved."
Sorry for the atrocious translation and if this sounds like not having anything to do with the image and those which it portrays :D
But that's what it makes me think of, without a context.

Through-the-looking-glass-2by MinsoPhotoComment: Yep, it takes prominence away from the shirt and let the arms being the fist point of interest, leading the viewer to the other focus points in the image. I feel it's definitely an improvement. |

Ghost Riderby twmaxComment: Nice effect, the result almost looks like a composite, with 4 different and separate centres of attentions.
I am not super fond of the hdr look, but most love it, very good job. |

Love Reflectedby WildShutterComment: If I understand the intent, a different lighting showing off the glass reflections and transparency, possibly a less opaque type of glass and a perfect reflection, would have turned this into a very high scoring image.
This way probably not.
Along with many very good instructionals online , many say this book is the bible of tricky materials studio photography: Light: Science and Magic: An Introduction to Photographic Lighting, if that can help.
Unless I completely missed your intent and the above remarks are well meant but completely irrelevant, of course. |
