I bet these guys can really move, looks like he decided to play nice for you and give you a chance to snap his pick. We have lizards here in Missouri but they are all way to skittish for me to get any close good shot. The DOf looks a bit shallow as his head looks a bit oof, a nice pic regardless.

Looks like they are just hanging out. I sometimes find it difficult when working with one of my shot that is straight in relation to how it was and how it looks in the shot, usually I crop it straight for the photo b/c the viewer of the pic lacks the reference of seeing the whole scene and usually get too hung up that it looks crooked. Either way I don't find this to look that crooked.

This goose does seem to have a lady like eloquence about it, love how how her neck curves and as you pointed how she looks like she is shyly hiding her face behind the tree.

Tough luck with the camera's lack of cooperation but you got to get a pic of a pretty cool event. I never have any luck finding woodpeckers in the woods who will hold still for a pick.
