Windchimes Day 11

I'm so glad you decided to reshoot this one! This is a huge improvement over your first windchime photo! Getting rid of the roof and blurring the background are both helpful. I think the lighting for this shot is nicer too... or maybe it's just the wb? You say it still lacks uummph... what about a bit of vignetting around the edge, or an extra bit of sharpening on the windchimes? Or even adding a bit of extra blur to the trees to make the chimes stand out more? Just some ideas... but I think this is lovely the way it is :)

You are really finding some unique angles to shoot your ordinary objects. It's amazing how consistently you can just use that strategy to create some great shots! I think there is a basic photographic lesson in there somewhere that I need to keep in mind! :)

I like the idea in this one... but feel like it's just missing.. something. At first I needed the title to have it make sense. I think without the month on the calendar, I wasn't sure if it was March or June (I saw the M from Monday and got March in my head). As far as the processing, I like the lighting and softness, but I think that is where the 'something' is missing for me. Best I could come up with in PS was to add a bit of gothic glow and adjust the levels and coloring a bit (even into a sepia tone maybe?) Just a few thoughts.

Wow, you tied the camera to the railing? I have a hard enough time lining my shots up straight when I'm looking through the viewfinder! I like the conversion to sepia here, and the expression is powerful. Nicely done!

Wow, everything looks grungy, and yet there's an amazing warmth from the red brick wall. Lots of interesting designs in the dirt on the chair too. I never thought I'd say I liked a shot of a dirty chair, but it's kind of appealing :)

Day 10 - A Road (with Colored Rocks on)

How colorful and unique! I can't help but feel like this should be rotated. Perhaps taking the line right into the upper corner? Would that also fix up the horizon or remove it from the shot? It would depend how much you cropped it to begin with I suppose. Anyway, nicely done! :)
