Amazing how many colors are in this shot! These do look more like soft whiskers than hard thorns, and I don't know that I would have guessed that this came from a cactus! Great job!

I never would have thought that the "round" shape would be made of several small flatter parts. Interesting! I wonder how this would work if you'd taken it from more of an angle, showing the shapes of the teeth-like edges. Maybe it would help cut down on the harsh lighting?

Great focus, and I like the cool blue hues here. The slight hint of a shadow helps to give a little depth. I'm not sure that I feel it needs quite so much vignetting, especially at the bottom. It feels like the darkness creeps in closer on the bottom right than the other corners, but I'm on a laptop and can't see the entire shot at once on my small screen.

I have no idea what this is, but it's neat! Great variety of shapes and textures, and the color is neat too. Almost an optical illusion since I'm having a hard time with the depth perception of this one. Interesting!

Looking at the thumbnail, I thought that just the corner was going to be in focus, but I like how you have the tips in focus through the shot. I wonder if angling the flower differently would have given even more depth to these little sections? Nicely done.
