Teenager and Mother Rescued as smoke engulfs homeby trainComment: Good timing and good capture. Like how you can just see the house in the background. The person being carried looks like only a pair of feet.. wish you could see their head or more of their body on the left of the firefighter. |

Lest We Forgetby KitaComment: Looks like lighting wasn't quite bright enough here for a hand held shot and it got a little blurry. Good shot for a plaque that may have just been put up, otherwise adding a person to the shot might help catch a person's eye and make them want to read the accompanying article. |

Flyin Highby climbin2thetopComment: Neat shot that would definately pull me in to read a little bit more about it. I'm not sure if I can picture a shot like this in the newspaper with so much negative space and nothing to frame the bottom or give a sense of scale. |

Anti-War Protest Draws 100's To Taos Plazaby SammieComment: You've definately captured all of the parts of your headline.. the protest, the place.. but I feel like there is a bit of emotion missing. Perhaps a closer shot of one persons expression or a more clearly defined focal point would help? |

The (Almost) Invisible Manby librodoComment: Great shot that tells just a portion of a story. Your eye goes between the man sitting and the child who is turned around, but I think the child's clothing and shoes are just a bit too bright. Well captured! |
