I like your angle and DOF, I'm not to wild about the blured parts of the image.
Relates well to the topic
My 1st consideration when judging a photo is how closely it relates to the challenge topic, next originality and photo technique & quality are equally judged.

According to DPChallenge rules, While voting, users are asked to keep in highest consideration the topic of the challenge and base their rating accordingly.
The reason I quote this is because to seems to be a sore spot for some photographers...

I get the golden rule concept, but I have no idea what the rest of your photo is?

Great vibrant colors --- I think this shot had oh so much more potential than you allowed it.
You shot pretty much straight on and the image is fairly flat, a different angle would give greater depth of field.
(Are you opposed to laying on the ground and shooting up?)
Focusing on one dramatic part of the wall and letting the rest of the graffiti frame your center point would give it more impact.

I love how you captured the morning sun on his glasses, nice use of back-light.
I would have ditched his ditty bag or moved it to the side.
It's a big wad at the bottom center of your photo and chops off his feet.

OK - You win in the best humor category. (thank god you didn't use a cell phone!)
On a serious note, I'd rather see the phone sitting on something more organic.
