Cindy Lou WHO?by Sting11165Comment: Adorable shot! Lacks punch to me because the lighting is pretty flat and the image needs more contrast. Although not always possible with little ones, it might bave been cute to maybe have her head resting on her hands on the "ornament". It would serve to bring her forward more instead of having the prop be so much more in front of her that she's sort of hiding behind it. I would also have left the floor out.
I dunno. I'm really big on using props minimally and focusing on the expression (especially with children), so just some ideas. |

Daisy-Head Mayzieby njsabsComment: This is adorable. Nice job on the editing, and the expression is great. I think it's a bit blown out in places and the shadows are a bit harsh coming from her arms. I bit of an angle could have done well for this as a portrait although typical story book more often have front poses so it works. |

You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch! by TransitComment: Don't know where you got the costume but awesome! This would be so much better though with some scenery instead of a plain background. I know a Christmas tree isn't readily available this time of your but perhaps a fireplace. I dunno, I just feel you had a really great advantage with the costume but didn't take it where you could have. |

Seusserificby idnicComment: Cute concept. Seems too blown out in areas, especially around the hair. Should be careful with an image with so much white and yellow. Her pose seems a bit awkward like she is turning her head too much and I probably would have had more focus on her and less of the background. |

The Beat Goes Onby ShannonLeeComment: Histerical! I was one of 3 that gave you a 10. I can't believe this scored so low. I'm becoming very jaded with DPchallenge lately. I seem to be drawn to your images without even knowing they are yours! Nice work, I really enjoyed this photo. |

Hair transitionby tmphComment: Wow. A very dear friend of mine has started her treatment this month and I was thinkking about her when this challenge came up and now I see this image. Very powerful. Her eyes speak loudly. Technically the lighting is nice and the crop is very intimate.
Beautiful woman. |

Ascension...by thetanComment: Pretty. I realise the look you were going for but I'd prefer her face to be a little less blown out, as well was the flowers in her hair. Hard to do sometimes but with expert editing maybe you could have tried a standard exposure and lightening where need be leaving the details more intact? |

n 27(07) Étude d'un femme vue en buste, inachevé by silverfoxxComment: Very beautiful and interesting. Not sure how well the editing will go over with the voters... for me it works fine because the original photograph is great and you just added to it artistically, as opposed to trying to carry a bad photograph with the editing.
:) Nice job. |
