Hmm, strange image. With the tones and border Kind of reminds me of like an old snapshot you'd see of your parents. Is that his tong between his fingers? LOL. Funny little capture, it's cute.

Hmm... well this photo doesn't say much to me about the subject. It's like here I am, here is my camera. I think I'd prefer to see him using the camera or not have it there at all and get a portrait that conveys something from just him, says something about him. The image seems a bit dull and flat and real grainy on the right side.

The border really does a disservice to you here, it's very distracting. As for the image, the tones seem a bit flat and the lighting isn't the best. Not too much emotion is conveyed, I feel maybe... concentration.

Ah! Now THIS is an animal portrait! This is superb! I love the crip detail, esp all the little wisker! The out of focus tree in the back is just enough of a background so it still feels natural and not like some stock shot on white. You have really captured this animal well, and I dont' think that is an easy task. Great job and good luck!

The DOF is nice, the focus seems really crisp oh her hair though when I'd prefer to see it on her eyes. The crop is way too close I think, it's got that floating head feel. There is nothing really telling about her here, seems like she jst got caught not looking.
