behind closed doorsby boysetsfireComment: I don't see what this was supposed to convey. Perhaps I'm missing something but this seems to have nothing to say about fast food. |

Cherry Dippedby MadMan2kComment: The red background doesn't do the subject justice. Should have been different to make the red pop and stand out. |

Two Zero Sevenby GordonComment: I wish. Well no, not brocoli. Snap peas! Mmmm. I found snap pea chip things the other day... they are kinda like cheetos but healthier. Yum.
Nice photo and concept. I'm sure I've seen this somewhere before but I like it all the same. The background is a bit much for me. |

Victorian Slideshowby posthumousComment: This is quite lovely! I didn't look through this challenge just saw this image in the "posthumous ribbons" thread and thought it was wonderful. Come to look and it is yours!
The appeal is strange and I can't put my finger on it. Just great! |

Hardly Workingby fencekickerComment: So some big problems... there was nothing to indicate that this was meant to be... a captured moment I guess we could call it. The sweat, dirt, sawdust, etc, are all way too subtle to know off hand what is going on. Something with him in action, like you said possibly with a tool would have done this shot wonders.
As it is now, there is no context and no way of knowing that this wasn't an image where you really went out and tried to get a proper portraite and just failed. (which is how it appears).
If you wanted to keep it close up perhaps he could be in action. Wiping sweat of his brow, taking a swig of refreshing water, etc.
The focus is really soft on the eyes and more in focus on his nose and his skin tone seems a bit off. I might have dulled down the green in the back a bit too. |

con - cen - tra - tionby OdedComment: ohhh boy. "unappealing expression". Ahhh! Like he was supposed to look suave!
Annnyhow. Strange comments aside. This is a great photo. I love expressions and stories... 2 of the biggest things that draw me to a photo and you have both here. No comments from you! I kinda want to know what this guy was doing! lol.
Technically I'd probably like to see more on the left side where his hand is chopped. The bw background was not noticable at first but the more I look at it the line is very obvious, perhaps you could have used a more blurry edge or not done a total desat... maybe 70 or 50 percent? |

Mr Happyby SouthCoastOr3gonComment: He's adorable. I love when babies have those big open smiles! And his hands holding! So cute. The image though is really dark and flat and the angle is a little odd. |
