Are those stars added in post-processing? They kind of look like it, but they also remind me of Tokihiro Sato's work, and since there's obviously other light-painting going on, I have to ask...

Meanwhile, I'm finding the orientation to be unsettling, but unfortunately not in a way that feels "good" to me. :-/ I imagine you mean it to not feel quite right, but I think with the background how it is, it leaves me just wanting to rotate the image, rather than giving me the sense of falling that you're presumably after. It's interesting, though.

Curious to know how you did this. Would like it if the whites were whiter, though (meaning both brighter and more neutral in color).

I really wish "REFRESHING" weren't obscured by that lighting highlight.

I think you need either more or less DOF for this to work for me... the front and back bottles are just barely soft, and I find that distracting. A lot soft might well be OK, and crisp would work well, but this I have difficulty with.

You should submit this photo to Jones Soda Co. for possible inclusion on one of their labels. :-)

I really like the idea. The execution leaves me wanting a little bit more, but alas, I'm not sure I can put a finger on why. Perhaps the bottles are just a little too far out to the edge of the frame for my tastes??

Anyway, pretty good job. And I commend you for the effort -- I'm guessing you got wet for this one! :-)

Is this a multiple or long exposure? There seems to be a "ghost" of a piece of fabric of some sort. Perhaps you mean for it to represent an "unveiling" or something, but to me, I find it distracting and confusing. :-/

I think this shot might be much improved with a longer exposure, to highlight the sparks more. Just a stop or two, to be compensated with aperture or a neutral density filter. Still, I like it.

Comment:
Presuming that your subject is the light post, and not something more subtle that I'm missing, I think this shot would be greatly improved (especially within the context of this challenge) by taking it sometime when the light was actually on... Generally, though, I'm finding this image to be just too busy to know what to look at, really -- which perhaps is your point?
