My friend Kamalby arunrajasekaranComment: This doesn't work well for me as a centered composition. If you want to use a portrait for this type of challenge is needs to be shot wide open to remove the distracting background and have flattering lighting. This comes across as a snapshot with with harsh lighting. |

startby alinaComment: This doesn't jump out at me as a 'centred' composition and I want something shot for this challenge to do that. The bud that should be drawing my attention is not in focus, the one at the back is. The subject isn't really of much interest either, sorry. Work on selecting interesting subject material, focus and composition. |

Seedpod Silhouetteby vickioComment: This doesn't jump out at me as a 'centred' composition and I want something shot for this challenge to do exactly that. The subject is dark and the background lighting is to strong at the top. Sorry, it just doesn't work for me. |

oh no, not another centrally-placed-flower-picture!by CamabsComment: Whilst one rose is in the centre the others are not, therefore not fitting the subject IMO None of the flowers are in focus, yes the centre one a bit more but really not enough to draw my eye to it as the subject matter. The white in the back is also very distracting. Work on your composition and removing distracting elements from your images. |

25 16 5: An Abstraction in Cheap Jarsby davidwComment: Everyone's interpretation of a 'centered composition' will vary. For me this image doesn't work for the subject. Yes, it sort of is centered but then again it's not. Maybe is you had given it more of a wide angle view with more room around the items to really put them in a centered position it would have worked better. The glasses are also not very interesting. They don't draw me in and make me want to look at at the image for any length of time. |

Soir d'automneby keyzComment: This is an interesting image but viewing it in the context of being a centered composition, I find that the part that draws my eyes is the lighting in the leaves and this is making it more of a split composition. The darkness has not worked for this subject IMO. |
