The Treeby bobgaitherComment: This is a nice picture but I don't think a tree with the top cropped off has the effect of 'topless' that I'm looking for. Sorry |

Brickheadby Mydee1Comment: An good shot for the challenge but the reflection on the glass is very distracting. Polarizer may have helped here. |

Circumcisionby gehausComment: This is a different take on the challenge. I'm thinking that you should have just gone with the bananas only and that the part that is cut should be in sharp focus (it's not on my screen). |

Cracking a cold oneby kashiComment: A good idea but the bottle is so dark that it just blends in with the background. Would like to have seen more definition on it even if it was as slight as the top part. |

FLOWING INTO FALLby riderComment: A very clever idea for the challenge. I think a simpler flower arrangement would have looked better as its a bit busy and a touch better focusing on them ... but do you know what I think would have looked really cool being that its water in a glass and water in a stream - a fish in the glass. Probably wouldn't have been still life then but I think it would make an interesting shot. Message edited by author 2007-11-11 03:17:07. |

Elizabethby riversongComment: A portrait shot always looks nicer if the person pops in the photo. To do this you need to bring her further forward of the green foliage and use a larger aperture. This will create background bokeh and make the person the strong focal point in the image (you probably already know this so sorry if I'm just repeating). Cheers |
