Winter Cardinalby BalkoComment: Very nice image... I look forward to seeing what lens you used. Excellent composition, placing the bird off center gives him punch... all the lines (esp his tail) help lead you back to him when your eyes wander. I notice a little catchlight in his eye and I was wondering if you used a fill flash to obtain that or was it natural? |

Dazzling colorby jsonComment: Very nice composition, color and lighting. It is not as colorful as some of the other entries but has more drama from the lighting then several. Did you shoot a version where you can see your eyes? I can't decide if that would help or hurt this picture. |

urban huesby tateComment: This is a great use of some desaturation without pushing it all the way to a black and white image. I find the teady bear a little distracting... I would prefer him either in or out of the shot. (prefer out since he distracts from your yellow). The horizontal lines in your composition add a sense of stability while your vertical lines add strength. That, combinded with a good "rule of thirds" lead to a very nice composition. well done. |

Flower Powerby photogenixComment: I like your use of Depth of Field to blur out going right to left... I think I would have prefered a little bit more of the total image to be in focus, but keep the concept and loose focus by the margin. I also like your composition greatly... the diagonal lines add energy while they all lead the eye to your sharp focused subject in the corner. |

Out of the Blueby BethraComment: Nice selective desat... you can, unfortunatly see your reflection, but that is sometimes hard to mask. I like how you have filled the frame... Cropping in nice and tight. |

A Walk on a Sunny Dayby HRoxasComment: Very nice choice of subject. You did a nice composition, especially to hide unwanted elements (the dish). Your patience for people to be in it gives it some perspective of size. Well done. |

Chihuly Was Hereby yakatmeComment: Very interesting location... I look forward to seeing where this is. I love the color and variety in the balls. I wonder if moving them down from middle frame to lower 1/3 would give them more energy and help them hold the eyes more. Currently you have competing background/forground with no clear winner so the eye jumps back and fort over the balls. |

Ruby in Redby kiwinickComment: Cute dog (like you didn't know) Very nice color. I particularly like the the catchlights in the eye and the texture in the nose... these things give it a real, living quality. |

Sour Skittlesby beautyqn25Comment: Tasty. The selection of sour skittles adds an interesting texture to the picture that I like... I wonder, however, if regular skittles would have been more vivid in color. A very nice image. |

Filamentby stare_at_the_sunComment: These can be difficult shots... I tried a couple and kept blowing out portions. It is crisp and well focused. Well exposed. I particularly like the filament. |
