Colors, shapes and light are very unique in this photo. Not sure what the figure is doing, but all in all an overall appealing composition.

Great capture of a truely unique perspective. I like how all the birds just seem to be looking about for the ball. Well done, in my top 10 this week.

Oooh! It's a frog! I think just a little side light to contrast the outline would help.

Max With His "Pet" Rock

Composition (Content)
This is not an easy shot to pull off. You are working with a very bright background, a dark dog and back lighting on your subject. These combined make for low details on the dog. Your capture of motion is good as you have, pardon the pun, frozen the snow in mid-air. A fill flash may have helped give the dog more detail as well as better focus. You may have also seen if a crop without the dark area at the bottom would give a stronger composition.

Background
Snow color is good, not blue as sometimes happens when photoing snow.

Camera Work (Technical)
Good shutter speed to capture the dog in flight. Would like to see a tighter focus on the dog as well as the use of a flash to brighten him up some.

Digital Processing (Technical)
Sharpening is fair(Unmask Sharpen might have helped sharpen the edges of the dog against the snow)
Balance between light and dark is fair. (Dog is washed out, but snow isn't blown out)
Compression is good(No noticeable compression artifacts)

My opinion
Good capture of a dog in motion. Most areas that might need attention could have been handled in post processing (sharpen, brightness, contrast). Don't forget to use your flash outside to help minimize dark areas on your subject.

Morning Shadow

Composition (Content)
I like the light on the wall and the shapes that the shadow makes. I would have liked to see some more attention to detail. Drop the blinds down so they are even with the window pane or have them all the way down, but open so as to give another element to the shadow on the wall. Where they are place now leaves for a messy look and distracts the eye. The chair on the left distracts from the shot. I feel that if it was out of the view your sun on the wall would stand out stronger. Moving the camera to the left to lessen the amount of viewable area out the window, or a crop to take that from the picture might also help the viewers eye from being distracted. With the window elements and the chair the viewer doesn't have a main focus. Leaving just the sun on the wall with the shadows would have made for a higher impact photo.

Background
Good low light shot, not a lot of noise

Camera Work (Technical)
Limitations of the camera prevent you from being able to apply filters or do much in the way of shutter speed and F/stop so within the limits of the camera this is a ok shot.

Digital Processing (Technical)
Sharpening is good(Doesn't look like you over sharpened this photo).
Balance between light and dark is good. (Based upon subject matter)
Compression is good(No noticeable compression artifacts)

My opinion
This is a good shot. A few minor adjustments and this photo would have really grabbed your viewer.

Whites are oversaturated. The subject is interesting and the man's body language and expression are interesting. Color may have also worked for this shot.
