quindeby charlievComment: There's a good concept here I think, that just hasn't quite worked. The idea of silhouetting the bird and branch is fine. I think the problem comes from two angles - firstly where the two silhoettes overlap (composition), and secondly the movement of the wings needs to be stopped (focus/exposure) to make this truly work. |

Rosella preeningby seracComment: The bird is beautifully coloured, and I'm sure desperately elusive to photograph. However, I think I would have tried for a good clear shot of something more ordinary as sadly I really can't make much out of this as the bird is too deep into the branches. |

Gothic Gooseby fotomann_foreverComment: Not sure what you did with the colour here - the goose is well captured and the colour looks fine, but the orange tint to both the bg and fg looks so terribly artificial. |

Seeing throughby vikasComment: The composition of this, and the reflection are super. Such a shame that your focus is rather soft as this could have been a magnificent image had it been sharp. |

Hmmph...by halcyonComment: Got to love the humour although I'm guessing by the vegetation that this may be a zoo shot. BUT - this image is brilliant and I'm not going to nit-pick on what is/not natural environment - after all - he's not sitting on a plastic chair is he? Deserves a good place - I wish you luck. |

Kudu Lunchby thomoComment: What big ears - no, not big - HUGE! Good shot, although a shame that the submission is a bit small - I think you may find you get marked down for this. |

Silly Critterby henry_buckleComment: Oh my favourite little creatures - meerkats rule, ok. Shame about the shadow of the trunk, although at least it didn't obscure the critter's face. Lovely image well deserving of a good place. |

Eye to eyeby AranchaComment: Stunning - lovely detail, good backlighting. No idea whether this is taken au naturel as it were, but I'd be nit-picking to mark it down for that - it is a great wildlife photograph. Good luck |

Whitetails on Iceby shankswareComment: A shame this is a bit on the small side, the composition is great, I love the b & w treatment and it meets the challenge perfectly. Good luck but I think the size may lose you some points. |
