plasmic by ursulaComment: The colors are rich and deep in hue not to mention bold and vibrant. This is a very lively in bold hues and very abstract. These bubbles are very pleasing to the eye as the viewer gazes upon them. |

The Transparent Planetby RentrenzComment: Simple, elegant, and clean is this capture. The blue sky and white clouds are the perfect companions to this shot - The spherical shape of the bubble that is in wonderful focus invokes our thoughts to planet Earth. |

Alien Bubbleby picturethisComment: I like the color hues and the elements in this one but the composition suffers. This could have been much stronger if you centered the glass with the escaping bubble in the frame AND had the circular object in the background more in the frame such that you see it's full curves on both the right hand side and left hand side. If that background object showed it's full curves on both sides the viewer would more strongly connect it with a spherical object and thus it's connection to the escaping bubble in the glass and bubbles in general would be fully realized. |

blow jobby parrotheadComment: This is a really fun one and it shows with the model. She has a slight smile and twinkle in her eye. I see that you had the model wear pigtails so that it invokes a sense of an innocent girl blowing a bubble - but then you pair it with the double meaning that adds just a sense of naughtiness to add some spice to the "sugar and nice". The pink background compliments the bubblegum bubble not to mention pink is symbolically for girls. The critiques I have for this photo is that the model could look like she is a little more "bubbley" - more smile. Also I am not to keen on the overexposure of the far top right portion of the photo - It washes out the pink background which as I said is complimentary to the overall photo. |

Evening Lightby madhatterComment: There on the far dunes lies a world held within a delicate sphere. It's ecosystem can disappear at any moment. That is/are the thoughts that crosses my mind when I gaze upon this image. Very visually poetic, serene, scenic, and dreamy. I love how the bubble captures the orange glow from the setting sun for it makes that bubble appear truly magical. Wonderful job! |

Aglowby rsaulyteComment: This is very much like abstract art. A cluster of bubbles floating in a coppery space. The cooper/orange hues cast a warm glow to this photo. |

Making bubbles ...by kari1Comment: The idea is good but the execution could be better. I like how you use the element of the wine and the wine glasses but I think this entry could have been much stronger if you had zoomed in on your focus. There is too much background that is distracting the eye from the main focus and that is the bubbles in the wine glass. If you zoomed in on just one wine glass where we just see half of it in the picture you would have the pleasing curve of the glass for the eye to look at and study. The viewer would also see the stream of wine being poured into the glass and the bubbles that result from that action. Also the reds of the wine could be deeper and more rich in hue if you used a black background. |

Fallenby tenfrozentoesComment: The composition of the elements is definately interesting but I think that the border is a little too much. Yes it does make the composition pop off the page but I think that if there was a little more dimension to the edges of the "black box area" it would move it out of the realm of flat and give it a third dimension and some depth....I am thinking that if the shot could have been accomplished with a box where the inside is deep black and the outside is white....just a random thought.
Back to the composition. I like how you have the flower curved such that it looks as if it is resting comfortabley on the bubble. The bubble is in focus but some of the details in the seperation in the flower petals are lost - it needs to be in focus better to improve sharpness so that we can appreciate the beauty of the flower as well as the bubble. |

A Light Step High Up In The Cloudsby ColeyComment: Well I have to say that this is a rather unusual and interesting shot. With just the view of the ballet dancer's shoes appearing to be balanced upon this delicate bubble it instantly invokes the idea of the dancer having to ber dainty and delicate as the bubble -otherwise it would pop.
I have been trying to figure out how you managed this capture and the closest I could figure is that you had your model dangle her feet over a deck and then had to try, try, and try again to get the bubble perfectly positioned for the shot. Persistence paid off.
The only critique I have is that the photo may have been stronger if you could have captured more fluffy white clouds surrounding/framing the dancer's feet so that we have an stronger connection to the phrase "dancing on cloud nine". But I know that Mother Nature is not an easy model to work with:-) |

Zen Masterby dsa157Comment: Wonderful! Love the lighting on the subject. The background is complementary to the image and makes the subject pop off of the screen. Not to mention the expression and the pose of the subject as he holds a tiny delicate bubble between those chopsticks. Great job! |
