Clean minimal conceptual photo that is both fun and playful. I love the little kid that peeks over the table to look for sweets! It plays into the some of the imagery in film and t.v. of a child reaching up at the kitchen counter looking to sneak some cookies out of the cookie jar. Here the colorful candy 'snakes' it's way toward the child as he/she patiently waits till it is on edge before chomping on the sugary treats! Nicely done! |

The Hatchingby mefnjComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment
A very creative way to use metal wire tubing to create a scene of writhing 'snake-like' creatures! They rise up from the sand like they just hatched and are reaching up to explore the world sticking their wire tongues out. A creative take to the challenge and one that has alot of great details! I do have one critique and that is the blue tones in the light that falls on the main subject, the sand, and the backdrop lowers the contrasts between the elements. Overall they are all some hue of blue - adding contrasting hues and light would make the imagery visually pop off the backdrop more. |

Great macro shot that has fantastic details. I really like all the wonderful patterns, curves and color on the caterpillar crawling across the leaf! |

The black and white really showcases all the details and great contrasts in this twisting path! It took me a moment but I love how you turned things upside down so now my eye follows the line of lights as it emerges from the bottom left corner to snake it's way to the 'horizon'. |

A clean minimalist composition with pleasing shapes and soft hues of pale green and white. The lines and curves in this composition are simply elegant and the light greens give it a soft light as air feel. Nicely done! |

Wow! The level of details in the scales on the head of this snake is amazing! The colors and patterns on this coiled serpent is very bold and eye-catching too! |

Love how you composed the shot to capture the twisting curves of the road that goes up this hill! The addition of a car and motorcycle gives the image a sense of scale of how big it it which contrasts with the fantastic tilt shift technique making it feel like I am viewing a miniature/toy world. My one critique is that there is too much vegetation the obscures the road at the top - given the position and height of trees/vegetation it is highly likely that there was no way to get a better shot to include more of the road. |

Love that pop of red color that contrasts beautifully with the white and black hues of the staircase. The spiraling shape of the staircase leads my eye directly to that red umbrella. |

What a fantastic find! Love the repeating 'S' shapes in the circular staircases! Another great visual element is the colors - a bold orange, a spring green, and caribbean blue! An awesome study of shapes and curves lines that is well seen and well presented! |

The Gatheringby texdonComment: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Love this nighttime scene showing a gathering of people at an outdoor event! Their shapes are contrasted against the lighted building and the light falls on the dark water illuminating the ripples on the surface. My one critique is that I think there is too much negative space that lessens the visual impact of the people gathering and the light reflected on the water's surface. My suggestion is to crop 1/4 off the bottom and a little off the top to give it a more widescreen look; giving the photo the feel of a scene in a move and bringing the viewer a bit closer to the gala/social. |
