spoons1.jpgby PixelKingComment: Well shot, with interesting reflections. I like the conversion, as well; the wooden spoons seem almost silvery and the black works really well. |

Day 1 - Abstractby kteachComment: Presents an ordinary object in such a unique way. So perfect for the challenge. Delightfully shot and processed. I thought it was window blinds -- but nobody thinks I know anything anway :) Nicely done. |

day 1by dreamyComment: In another context, the spots might distract me a bit, but in this challenge, the image is perfect as is. I've had tons of wine glasses that look just like this (spotted wise), but how you've presented them here is different and makes them extra-ordinary. Perfectly done. |

Day 1 - Keysby nikolaosComment: Good choices here to start the challenge; neutral surface, good depth of field, and nice use of contrast! Looking forward to more. |

Day 26by dreamyComment: Absolutely beautiful; perfect lighting, composition, setup. The black and white here fits so well. Wish I could offer some critique, but I don't have anything to say other than: Perfect. |

Day 1 Sunglassesby ChinarosepetalComment: Wonderful use of such narrow depth of field (I'm totally jealous of your f/1.2), strongly composed, with good placement of the glasses on a non-distracting background and interesting shadows and light. Could be a shot for the manufacturer's advertising! |

Day 1 - In the Attic.JPGby MonicagdComment: This is a really neat find, and I like the perspective you took on it. I might have tried to bring the contrast up, not to necessarily brighten the overall image, but to bring in some more dramatic lighting. Levels or perhaps better yet curves, along with perhaps a selective color layer to enhance some individual shades could make this stand out a bit from its surroundings. It is well composed, and makes me want to pick it up and dust it off, and see if maybe there's a genie inside (I know, it's not a lantern, but you never can tell where a genie might be hiding). |
