Fleeting Hopeby GeocideComment: Nice take on the challenge, and fun title to give it a bit of edge. It seems the image is primarily driven by the challenge, though, but for this purpose it works well. I might have moved the horizon up a bit so there was less empty sky (which doesn't do much for me), but whether that would improve the image is a guess. The soft focus on Waldo's head does work for me, though, given the context. |

Morning has brokenby LimboComment: Very pretty shot, and excellent handling of the lighting issues (I can never reasonably capture sun rays like this); the range of tones from dark to light is really nice, and the glasslike appearance of the water is appealing. The mist in the back works well to emphasize that this is a morning shot. Nicely presented image. |

Desert Southwestby tfarrell23Comment: Well shot, the kind of image that's hard to present well on DPC because of the size of the allowed images (it's hard to show good detail at this distance in a 640 sized image). Your shot is a lovely b&w, with nice tons and textures throughout; I can almost hear the person calling out for a car to come back, or see him/her getting ready to put out their thumb to catch a ride. Nice feeling to this, well captured. |

Wear's Walldoughby BlackboxComment: Cool image, well captured. The starkness of it, with the lovely washed out appearance of the building, and the tones in the windows that lead into the tones in the dark sky are all very effective. Nicely shot. Had this at a 7, bumping it up to an 8. |

Caught by Surpriseby LuDeLushComment: Neat concept and nicely carried out. I wondered who would enter a nude in the challenge :) As an image, there is some interest here, and it's nicely composed for a stream scene. The lighting is not entirely flattering to my eye, as some fo the brights are a little, well, bright, but overall the image works well. |

Lavaby KronusComment: Very cool image; I have no idea what's going on here, which made me look more closely. The colors are unique, and the shapes and lines keep driving my eye around the shot, looking and searching. I am often drawn to the thing that looks like a golf flag, but I always move on. Excellent abstract and wonderful entry. |

Home Sweet Homeby Shan2112Comment: Neat idea and good execution here. The idea works, and Waldo is nicely concealed if not quite hidden. As an image that seems primarily driven by the theme, it suits the purpose well. |

Oh No! Save Waldo!by fencekickerComment: I like this; fire is an excellent subject, though it doesn't always behave, does it? Here the colors make the shot for me. I almost want to reach in and feel the purple ones, whether they're hotter than the rest or cooler (I know, hotter, but still), or at least poke it a bit, or maybe roast some marshmallows. I hope Waldo survives . . . |

Captain Waldoby bigfellaComment: I looked really hard but couldn't find . . .
. . . a single over-sharpened rope :) That's a testament to restrained processing that serves the image well. The colors here are warm and fit nicely with the image, which holds the interest well. Waldo was easily found, but with an image with as much visual interest as this one, that's okay with me. Well done. |

Rock Angelby faeryComment: Really neat idea, well executed; finding colors that would at least mimic what was in the graffiti works well, and you obviously had a very cooperative and helpful (not to mention cute) model. Processing here seems to fit with the image, though I wonder what it would have looked like if you had saturated the colors a bit more (it might have looked horrible, though!). Nicely done. |
