Exploring Narniaby EmerkazaComment: Not much minimalist about this; lots of visual activity, some of it distracting, and even the children are quite "busy" in terms of shapes and colors. |

pathway to a broken heartby skewsmeComment: Exposure here, and lack of a clear focus took this outside of the minimalist challenge for me; there's a lot going on, and it's a bit dark on the whole for my tastes. |

Dry Roastedby _eugComment: Minimalist, for sure, but not with any apparent message or intent, so left me wondering "why?". |

Let the sunshine inby SimpaComment: This does not work for me; the frog is not sharply in focus, and the lighting is distracting (especially the bright spot and sharp shadow across the top of the frame). |

Snow Berriesby sackerComment: The extreme contrast here (and the way the branch is washed out) didn't work for me here; I would have liked to have seen it shot a little more closely, and with exposure set with an eye to bringing out the branch and berries. |

Happy Little Red Buttonby mistComment: Suitably minimalist, but doesn't appeal to me as an image; lighting doesn't add anything to it, so it's just sort of sitting there. |

MiniMaby GordonComment: This has an abstract (though perhaps not minimalist) flavor to it, but it doesn't work for me in the end, though I'm not sure if it's the lack of direct subject in the photo (unless it's the person, in which case they're too small and indistinct for my eyes), or the angle (though this does help it be a bit more abstract). |

Nearly Thereby james_soComment: The moon is overexposed so that it's a bit blurry and certainly washed out, and the jet exhaust isn't really juxtaposed against the moon in any noticeable way (they just happened to be in the same sky). |

Simple . . . I Love Youby KrystleComment: Somewhat minimalist, though the lighting doesn't appeal to me (the reflections being rather harsh to my eyes), and seems to throw the colors off. |

Wilderness Edgeby hahn23Comment: The apparent minimalist focus here -- the elk or deer -- is hardly seeable, and with the remaining subject matter (trees, rocks, sky), it's hardly a minimalist image; as a photo of wildlife, I would have liked to have seen much more attention paid to the wildlife. |
