Beach Sandalby KOKOCATComment: It's not obvious whether the footprint, the flipflop, or the wave is meant to be the focal point of the shot. Lose the footprint and sharpen focus on the shoe and it would work much better. |

Usedby sz1_Comment: I like the image even if the title seems odd. A lower viewpoint which includes the other foot would have done wonders for the composition and made the use of DOF even stronger than it is. Has a lot of potential. 5 |

Work Bootsby alison05Comment: Awkward crop, losing the left toe. Should be a portrait composition maybe, and the pristine wood pannelling doesn't suit the title at all. It also seems that the floor is more sharpply focused than the boots. |

Pick-A-Pairby YoungerComment: I like the textures. should be cropped differently to improve the composition which could have more structure. And I end up roaming about the picture looking for something focused to rest my eyes on, but there's none. |

unworthyby bhowieComment: Good composition and depth of field. I like the way you used the colour to pick out that particular pair. I'm curious how you managed to do this in basic editing. |

Hard Workingby glad2badadComment: This is another of those odd shots in this challenge where the photographer has antropomorphisized their shoes, Are those boots just after chopping that wood? You get me? Should have left the boots on the person chopping the wood. |

Jenny's Shoesby wavelengthComment: The composition is pleasing, however the focus is not. Whenever there's writing included as part of the subject in a picture, it's aggravating when it's not sharp. All in all an uninspiriing shot, sorry! |

Who? Me??by ourwebstopComment: A cute and well taken pet pic [he(she)'s adorable btw], but the shoe seems very much secondary to the focus which is the dog. A different set up with the tattered shoe in the foreground as focal point with the dog behind looking all innocence and 'butter wouldn't melt...' would be much more effective in suiting this contest theme. |

Inhabitantby SimonkasprzakComment: Very witty, and original take on the theme, however the nitty gritty technical aspects of the photography let this down. My eyes were finding it difficult to focus on anything here, and perhaps a wide-angle approach could have married the 2 elements and strengthened the illusion they're in the same plane. |

Pointeby bongoComment: Not the most inspired shot considering the possibliities available with these shoes. At a ballet class or something actually capturing them mid-pose, like standing up on their toes would have been a stronger image. |
