Australian Summer Triptychby GIS_boyComment: Awesome photograph. The color is very rich and vibrant. Great composition as well. I really don't care for the triptych much, but mainly because I like the photo so much. Very nice! |

Covered With Snowby gsalComment: Very contemporary. The red of the car is great against the green of the building, and the falling snow is cool. Well done! |

The Lookoutby nroscoeComment: You chose a very difficult photo for the backlighting. Get the deatil in the tower and lose the sky, or get the sky and lose the detail. You did a pretty good job of finding the middle ground. I think framing the photo so that the tower was to one side or the other would make the photo more dynamic and give it better balance. |

winter blues by ursulaComment: Outstanding photograph! By far my favorite of this challenge. The color and DOF are amazing. I'm not sure if this is more of a macro or an abstract, either way excellent work.

Can't Sleepby WallitComment: This is a very creative way to meet the challenge. Backlighting the upset child is a great idea. At the risk of being redundant, the small size of the photo makes it very difficult to see any detail in the photo. Resizing for the DPC maximum would really help, as would adjusting the tilt. |

Shove Over!by akuliComment: Great choice of subject matter for a backlighting challenge. Very good tight crop on the bat with spread wings and his buddies. Compositionally the photo is just too busy with all the branches and leaves. |

Sunrise in the Deep Blueby sigitasComment: This underwater photograph was a great choice for the backlit challenge. The aqua tones are very nice and relaxing. But the business of the composition takes away from the relaxed feeling, and has my eyes jumping all over. Emphasizing a key subject to the photo would really help. |

Good Frondsby skewsmeComment: Grass reeds are always a very interesting subject, and your creative twist adds to the composition. Sort of gives a blowing in the wind feel to the photo. The grass looks like it could be a little sharper and the bright spot in the lower left corner is very distracting. |

The cold sun behind the ice flowersby morpurgoComment: Very nice detail on this photo, you can really see the crystalization of the frost. There's not much wow factor with the composition and lighting to push this my vote up to the highest votes. |

Christmas windowsby burtctComment: If this photo was composed any other way than how you did, it would probably be just too busy. You suceeded extremely well in capturing a great photo! |
