For some odd reason it reminds me of those ads on TV "adopt a child from a third world country, only a dollar a day" kinda things. I think it's the look in her eyes. Good choice on the B+W

I like this photo, But I don't think that you should have desaturated the skin tones (that's what it looks like you did anyways). The face just appears sickly. The wool is great though!

I think this was a big risk submitting this photo; but I think it is very creative. And that square is most definately in a square shape. You have a little bit of loss of focus in the upper right hand corner.

I think this photo would be much better in focus. You have a good handle on colours however, and you've used that very well in your photo. I don't like the white bars on the side however.
