I think the composition is overall good. Possibly drop the hand down the cheek an inch or so. I like the lines in the foreground but dont really care for the filter treatment. I would suggest letting the photo/model speak for itself and drop the filter. JMO and keep it up.

very nice, Since we almost always see birds sitting on a branch, this one stands out, especially because of the rounded handle and rounded feeder top. 7 did you try an off center composition?

very solemn picture. the hand/arm is very dark which makes it hard to identify as placing the wreath. a different color glove might have helped in this instance.

cool shot, probably stronger with a slightly less distracting background but since this was likely candid, you took the opportunity given and made your shot. shot seems a little out of balance, angle or camera tilt???

too bad this didn't make it. I think it is a very interesting picture and a good idea. Maybe just a little more of the black smoke would have been good.

Thought this pic was great. Gave it a 9 and expected it to ribbon. I sure wondered about the size/detail on the peas but your explanation answers that question. The steam was a neat touch too.
