What an image! This is great, the birds are a awesome subject. I think the angle is prefect for the image and helps with the perspective category. The lighting, color and composition are all very well done. I think the top 100 is very well deserved, I would have defiantly put this shot higher up. The clarity of the main bird is amazing. I know in many art pieces they always state to use an odd number of subjects or placement but I really think the four work perfectly for the area that was shot. The only thing I could possibly see was maybe a little more focus on the sand were you panned out from, but I don't know how feasible that would in keeping your clarity on the main bird. Excellent work!

Wow the title was a great choice and so catching. I do like the image and I can defiantly see what frustrations you would have had with that statue being out of focus but I can understand the key was capturing the man. Overall this is a great shot. I think it would be more appealing to the masses if the statue was in focus, but you still captured an interesting perspective of the world. I am really glad you used the black and white, it makes the photo look nice and classic. After reading a couple of your comments, I would have to agree with you and say including the man in the photo was a great choice. Also I really like the contrast and how the gentleman's t-shirt and that small light pop out of the image. One last thing I liked is that you chose to capture all the way to the top of the statues hat, I think if you had cropped it out the shot would be missing something. Good job!

What a shot. The reflections you were able to capture are amazing. I can defiantly see why you scored so well, this is an excellent perspective. I do like the approach you took with the angle of building. I could see the photo being taken straight up, but by angling your photo you separated yourself. I also thinking the lighting from the time of day was prefect to capture this shot. You used a great focus, the clarity appears to be prefect. It is amazing how seamless the photo feels, even though there is a building there. Great overall job on all aspect of this photo.

Very interesting idea. The surroundings are amazing. I am not sure if its the bike that makes it seem a bit off, but the photo feels like something is just not quite there. I think you could have made a very dramatic statement from a slightly different angle or closer or maybe shot more from one side then the other. I think your lighting and contrast are nice. I also like how the leaves have fallen on the ground. This really is a very different area for this shot.

Shadow walk, great title. I love the shadowing that you were able to capture, the lighting is excellent. I would be interested to see the photo cropped down a little to allow the focus to be completely on the bridge. The background takes away from the focus on the shadows cast from the bridge. It would very interesting to see this photo cropped down into a square just including the bridge. I also really like the you are shooting from the right side as opposed to the center. It would also be interesting to see the shot from a lower angle, to give more perspective on the bridge itself. Good find for the challenge and great timing to capture those shadows.

The crop on this image is what drew my attention in. This is a drastic capture, possibly it is the crop that gives it that feel. I think you have a great subject especially with the colors that were naturally provided. I would be curious to see the shot from a little bit lower of an angle. I think in the perspective challenge, the more you can play and alter you photo to look different from the rest is very important. I am not sure about the plant that was included at the upper left side. I really love the lighting that is breakthrough the overhang about half way down the image. Good job!

Wow, excellent shot. The composition immediately grabbed my attention. Overall I love what you have captured. The weather is amazing for a runner, and to capture a runner's shot. This is an wonderful image to see, it makes me want to go run in the fog. Also congratulations on your finish this is very well deserved. I think you placed your self perfectly in the image and capture the natural landscape in an amazing manner. There is no much to critique from the shot, other done it is an excellent capture, and I couldn't see anything that could have changed to make this better. Also great job on taking your time to edit your own photo.

Interesting perspective, you really did capture the length of the sail. The overall shot is very nice. I like to play with the positioning of the subject and would be curious to see if off to one side more then the other. One other thing I would have played with to see what would happen would be the colors. There is just something about a shot where the colors just pop out of the photo. I thinking standing out is important in these large competitions, I know my attention many times is drawn to the thumbnails with bright colors that require your immediate attention. Also by enhancing the colors of the sail it would be probably intensify the sky and made a more dramatic effect. You would probably have to make sure the clouds weren't to drastic and take away from the subject. Very nice job overall and a good subject.
