Harvest Awaitingby bledfordComment: *Critique Club*
"Harvest Awaiting" is a nice black and white addition in the Country Life challenge. Top 100 not too bad, especially in this tough challenge.
This is a very good perspective shot, I love how we start from the left and the trees get smaller. Another interesting aspect is that the trees in the row behind the main subjects look as though they have white leaves. I think the border on your piece does defiantly effect it, I would be curious to do a comparison between a white boarder, black boarder and no border to see how it effects the dark and light in the image itself. Also I like the glow on light coming from the right hand side, it really balances the photograph out. |

HOME SWEET HOME by BrinComment: *Critique Club*
"HOME SWEET HOME" is obviously prefect for the Country Life Challenge. Congratulations on your yellow ribbon, a nice addition to your collection. Many voters loved this shot, obviously by the votes and number of comments.
I think the most striking aspect of this image is the reflection in the water, it looks virtually prefect. The composition is very strong and feels prefect. The overall balance of the image is just right. The balance between the top and bottom as well as left in right feels like all elements line up just perfectly. The colors are very appropriate, this shot could have looked extremely cold with that large body of water and yet it does not. This is just an amazing shot. Again congratulations. |

Imagine There's No Heaven......?by JudiComment: *Critique Club*
"Imagine There's No Heaven......?" is an amazing shot. When you pull up the challenge to vote and you are just looking through the thumbnail pages this one has to grab your attention.
The colors are so vibrant, the just demand attention. I also love the composition, the sky is so amazingly big. The layers also give and added depth not making it a plain sky shot. Overall this is an wonderful image. I just wonder if people would have scored higher if the saw a cow and cornfields below... something that just screams country. Good work. |

Midwinter moonlight on the farmby audinutComment: *Critique Club*
"Midwinter moonlight on the farm" is nice entry into the Country Life challenge. The photo gives off a cold or eerie fell but is still very attractive.
The image has very nice overall composition, the moon gives off an wonderful glow. I really like the reflection on the snow, that really makes the sky look even more amazing. Also I like how small the house is compared to the rest of the world (or what was included in the shot). I am not a big fan of noise, but everyone opinion and ideas are very different. Overall this is a nice image. |

Oklahomaby madison461Comment: *Critique Club*
"Oklahoma" is a nice fit into the Country Life challenge. Looks like something you might see on a country calendar.
I can defiantly see that you were able to capture the wide open sky. The blueness is very nice and fills the frame. I like your include of the windmill, it really makes the barn look small from this perspective. Excellent wide open spaces shot. I think this was a harder category, but at least you placed in the upper half. The only thing I would even suggest if possible try to take the shot from a lower angle giving that huge sky even more power in the shot. |

Country Rush Hourby RikkiComment: *Critique Club*
"Country Rush Hour" is an excellent fit into the Country Life challenge. After reading your comments I am glad to see you hit that 6+ you were hoping for, it is well deserved. I think the image defiantly country enough for me and the voters.
This is a very pleasing photograph to look at, the composition is just excellent. The sunlight captured showing time of day is prefect and that the cows are heading home or out for the day is great. I love the rolling hills and the tree in the center, I think that is what gives this shot such excellent composition. I think the border on this is also very nice, normally I am not a boarder person but it fits with the overall feel. Good work. |

IMGP1902-tritone-web.jpgby marklovellComment: This is a nice relaxed, comfortable feeling shot (for me). The blue seems a little odd for the happy expressions they have, I would be curious to see it in the sepia as well. I personally like this one the best, but if they need the shot for professional representation I would go with the other shot(the sepia one) over this one. |

IMGP1917-sepia-web.jpgby marklovellComment: From a professional stand point this is a nice shot. I just say professional because of their expressions. I like the idea of the circle and the include of their instruments. I also think the coloring is a great choice. |

IMGP1936-b&w-grainy-web.jpgby marklovellComment: Interesting idea, not really my thing. The forth girls instrument is missing which makes the shot seem really off to me. Maybe angling the girls just a little bit so we could see more of their faces. |
